Creating educational opportunities for students who would not otherwise be able to attend university is at the core of Takiya’s mission for her work in the California State University system. Presently, she is the Director of Instructional Technology at California State University Northridge and the Southern California Regional Director for DETCHE. Prior to her work at CSUN Takiya served as Senior Instructional Designer at CSU San Bernardino for 15 years where she specialized in online program development and Copyright. Outside of her work in higher education she enjoys developing youth enrichment programs and political action that enriches the lives of underrepresented Southern Californians.
